日本の伝統的な形である鳥居をモチーフとした作品。存在感のある背もたれとまっすぐ伸びた後ろ脚が特徴のこの椅子は、鳥居の持つ力強さを感じさせると同時に、現代の暮らしにもあう柔らかい印象を持ち合わせている。

This chair adapts the motif of the traditional Shinto shrine archway, the Torii, an archetype of Japanese aesthetics.The straight legs carrying the characteristic backrest convey the presence and strength of the Torii and give at the same time an impression of subtlety.
